our 2 month check up
Yesterday was our two month check up at the doctor. It was also Hayden's first shots. :-(
The pediatrician said that she is eating very well, the little white marks on her gums that I thought were teeth are actually called epstein pearls, and they are nothing to worry about. I also showed her the little nub on her belly button that is hard, and seems like a very small part of the umbilical cord that didn't fall off. They said they would keep an eye on it...hopefully it'll fall off on its own, and she won't have to have it frozen off. 2 month stats -
Weight - 10 lbs 3 oz
Length - 22 1/2 inches
Head Size - 15 1/2 inches
Yep, she is just a little peanut! Then came the shots! Argghhhhhh!!!!! The first shot, she whined. Second shot she started to cry...but it wasn't bad. The THIRD shot! Oh man! She was full speed ahead on the crying train! I gave her what was left in her bottle which calmed her down but as soon as she finished it she was back to crying. The DR said if it seemed like they were sore (her legs) that I could give her 0.3 ml of infant tylenol. Oh, got it. I'll just ask her in a hour if they are sore. I decided that I would stop at walgreens and grab her some infant tylenol. Once I got her in the car seat and in the car she was already asleep. I ran into walgreens grabbed the infant tylenol, and then went home. She was passed out the entire time! When she woke up I decided to give her the tylenol. When we would pick her up, and if we touched her legs where she had gotten her shots she would start crying like she was in pain. Jeremiah and I had our fantasy football draft, so she was laying in her rock and play while we drafted all of our players. She must have been feeling really good after taking that tylenol because she was laughing and going on all crazy. I figured she would have just slept, but no. She seemed completely fine though, she wasn't fussy, and slept through the night like she always does. I am so glad she doesn't need anymore for another 2 months!
